ROPES implemented the Sustainable Livelihood Support Program to improve the economic well-being of poor and vulnerable women by providing goats as a sustainable source of income and livelihood. The program was designed to help women from economically disadvantaged families establish small-scale livestock-based livelihoods that could generate regular income and improve household resilience.

Under this initiative, eligible women received goats along with guidance on animal care, feeding practices, health management, and basic livestock rearing techniques. Goat rearing was identified as a practical and sustainable livelihood option due to its low maintenance costs, high adaptability, and potential for income generation through breeding and sale of livestock.

The program enabled women to create valuable household assets, generate additional income, and reduce their financial vulnerability. As their livestock assets grew, many beneficiaries were able to support their families, meet educational expenses for their children, and improve their overall quality of life.
