Goats & Milch Animals Distribution:

ROPES promotes sustainable livelihoods among poor, vulnerable, Dalit, and Tribal families by providing livelihood assets such as milch animals (cows) and goats. The programme helps rural women and families generate regular income, strengthen household economic security, and achieve greater self-reliance.

Through dairy farming and goat rearing, beneficiary families earn income from the sale of milk and livestock, enabling them to meet daily household needs, support their children’s education, access healthcare services, and improve their overall quality of life. These livelihood activities also contribute to better household nutrition and financial stability.

Financial Assistance for Petty Shops:

ROPES supports Dalit and Tribal families to establish and strengthen small businesses such as petty shops, vegetable and flower vending, rural mini hotels, and food carts. The programme promotes self-employment and helps families generate regular income within their communities.

Financial support enables families to purchase goods, maintain business operations, and expand their enterprises over time. The income earned helps meet household needs, access healthcare, and support children’s education.

By promoting entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods, the programme improves economic security, reduces poverty, and empowers marginalized families towards greater self-reliance.

Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management

ROPES supports small and marginal Dalit and Tribal farmers by promoting sustainable agriculture and climate-resilient farming practices. The programme provides awareness, education, and technical support on improved agricultural methods, crop diversification, soil health management, organic farming, and water conservation.

Key interventions include the promotion of vermi-composting, organic farming, rainwater harvesting, and the desilting and deepening of community ponds and lakes to improve water availability for agriculture. These initiatives help farmers increase productivity, reduce farming costs, strengthen natural resources, and improve household income while ensuring environmental sustainability.
